Dartmoor | Dartmoor is southern England's last great wilderness. Run now as a National Park, there are not many road cutting across the moors. To appreciate the beauty of these heather and bracken covered moors, with their distinctive granite outcrops, you will have to go by foot |

South East Devon | Less visited by the crowds than Torbay, the resorts - like Budleigh Salterton, Exmouth, Seaton, Sidmouth - along this part of the Devon coast retain the quit dignity of their Victorian and Regency heyday |

Devon Riviera | The resorts of Brixham, Torquay and Paignton have relaunched themselves as the English Riviera, on account of their sandy bathing beaches and mild climate. For the visitor wanting lots of entertainment and good beaches, then this is the part of Devon for you |
. | |
South Hams | A rich agricultural region, studded with pretty small villages. There is particularly beautiful countryside along the River Dart and on the Kingsbridge Estuary. The small towns of Totnes and Dartmouth are particularly charming |
